Jordan, a Classic Destination…
INTRODUCTION:
Combined with classic vantage cars…
During the month of May this year, Jordan hosted 32 classic cars owners from
different European Countries & some from North America with their classic cars,
ranging from Bentley to Rolls Royce & other classic name brands that toured
the country under the name of the bi Annual event that has been taking place in
Jordan since 2003: “The Jewel that is Jordan III”. Starting from city of
Aqaba located on the Red Sea .
The cars where shipped in to Aqaba port, where a special company unloaded
& stored for 2 days in a safe & suitable storage area, till the guests arrived
from the UK to pick up their beautiful rides, that will take them around the Jewel
that is Jordan for 15 days, starting from Aqaba then visiting Wadi Rum the
moon like Desert, home of Lawrence of Arabia, to descend down to the lowest spot
on the face of this earth,400 meters below sea level the Dead Sea known as the first
and largest natural spa on earth.

After arriving at the Dead Sea to make it a base to visit the north part
of Jordan, where the high lights of this part of the trip where, the drive to the
capital city of Amman, to attend a Royal Gala dinner at the Garden of King Hussein
Private Club with the presence of Her Majesty Queen Rania Al Abdulah, Queen of Jordan,
that welcomed the guests to our beautiful country.
After this Royal event, which proceeds were donated to charity, the next day they
drove further north to visit the most preserved remains of Roman Civilisation; where
the visit of Roman City of Jerash with its temples, Roman Theatres, colonnaded
street & one of its kind oval plaza took place.
The trip was ended with the high light of Jordan . Petra, The Rose Red Rock
City, where the visit of this lost Nabataea city took place, combined with the final
event, a Seated Gala Dinner Under the stars that took place in front of an old Nabataen
temple carved by the Nabateans 2000 years ago in to one of the Rose Red Rocky Mountains
at the Little Petra location which was the first stop where the camel caravans queued,
and rested before entering the Nabataea Empire of Petra to trade goods.

The tour has been organized by the founder of Jewel Events, Mr. Jonathon Lyons,
and for the third consecutive time by Karma House for travel and was fully
supported by the Ministry of Tourism
The Director of Karma House, Ms. Ghada Najjar, stressed the importance of
this event which is taking place for the third consecutive year, she added that
although this is may seem as a sporting event, yet it offers an imperative opportunity
to introduce the participants to the Jordan tourism product and the marvels it has
to offer.
