HAMBURG
Situated at the confluence of the Bille, Alster and Elbe Rivers the Hanseatic
city of Hamburg is a gem waiting discovery by the conference and incentive organiser.
A vital, active and cosmopolitan city with a choice of theatres, concert halls and
museums, over three thousand pubs, taverns and restaurants offering a selection
of over
forty different cuisine's and a varied and comprehensive nightlife sometimes verging
on the erotic.
Example Programme - Berlin
DAY ONE
Arrival at airport. Welcome and transfer to hotel. Check in.
Afternoon sightseeing tour of Berlin including the highlights of the city.
Evening at the Wintergarten providing an interior of the good old 20's. The program
is a vital mixture of theatre and revue, circus, cabaret, parody and artistry.
DAY TWO
Free time for shopping in Berlin's city centre.
Afternoon excursion to Potsdam Sanssouci reflecting the brilliance of Prussian history.
Medieval evening at the Zitadelle of Spandau. In this 13th century fortress setting
you will be entertained by costumed minstrels and other performers of the period.
Medieval 6 course menu will be served.
DAY THREE
"Frühschoppen" on Lake Wannsee.
Jazz brunch on a boat while cruising either through the green districts of Berlin
or the city centre.
Return to hotel.
Check out transfer to Berlin airport. Arrival at airport.

HALF DAY TOURS
Berlin from the Spree Canals
See Berlin from an unusual and fascinating perspective during the cruise
along the Spree River canals. Travel along the Land-wehrkanal into East Berlin.
Pass the Reichstag., seat of the German Parliament with its new cupola and other
new governmental buildings, the Berlin Cathedral and the Museum Island, site of
one of the world's richest museum complexes. Duration: 4.5 hours.
Prussian Summer Residences
Drive through the Grunewald Forest to the former hunting lodge Jagdschloss
Grunewald with its antique furniture and valuable painting collection. Continue
to Klein Glienicke Palace with its beautiful garden and park. Continue by boat to
Peacock Island to the former summer residence of Friedrich Wilhelm II and Queen
Luise. Duration 5 hours
Visit to the Gemäldegalerie and the Nationalgalerie
In June 1998 the new painting gallery was opened in a wing of the Cultural
Forum in the center of Berlin. The collection, which is one of the most important
world wide, consists of masterpieces of painters from 13th to 18th century like
Rubens, Tizian, Vermeer and Rembrandt. The National Gallery shows a beautiful collection
of modern art presenting Paul Klee, Picasso and many others. Temporal special exhibitions
can also be visited at the National Gallery. Duration 4 hours
Super City Sightseeing
Tour During your bus roundtrip you will see the cultural heart of West
Berlin with the Philharmonic Hall, the Cultural Forum and the National Gallery,
the historical centre of East Berlin with the State Opera House, Humboldt University
and the Red City Hall. Drive along the famous boulevard "Unter den Linden" and pass
the Brandenburg Gate as well as the Reichstag and Bellevue Palace, residence of
the President of the Federal Republic. Pass the Potsdamer Platz where numerous new
buildings have been created on Europe's largest construction site during the last
4 years. Drive through the Tiergarten, a big green park in the center of the city,
passing the House of Cultures and see the Lehrter Bahnhof which will open in 2001
as the biggest train station in Europe. Pass the Hamburger Bahnhof, Museum of Modern
Art. Duration 3 hours.
DAY EXCURSION
Potsdam
Potsdam reflects the brilliance of Prussian history in different periods.
Visit the Palace Sanssouci and its beautiful garden with impressive terraces and
fountains, built as the summer residence of the Prussian royal family. Take lunch
afterwards.
Visit to Palace Cecilienhof, where in 1945 the Potsdam Agreement was signed between
the Allied Powers. Continue to Potsdam passing the early 18th century settlement
"Holland Quarter" and the Russian colony "Alexandrovka".
Dresden
By coach to Meissen, tour of the Meissen Porcelain Manufacturing Company.
Afterwards leave for Dresden. Walking tour through Dresden with visit to "Green
Vault", "Dresdner Zwinger", the Royal Palace, the Semper Opera House and the Catholic
Church with its marvellous Silbermann organ.
Dresden enjoys a fine reputation as a city of art and culture of international importance.
Theme Party Ideas for Incentives - Berlin
SURPRISE EVENING IN THE KADEWE, "KAUFAUS DES WESTENS"
The Kadewe is the biggest department store on the European continent with
an outstanding food department on the 7th floor. Here they offer more than 40,000
different products coming from all over the world in an area of 8,000 square metres.
The party starts at 8.30 p.m. Guests are welcomed by the "Pickelhauben Blasorchester",
a typical Berlin brass band in historical costumes at the entrance of the warehouse.
Hostesses will lead the guests to the glass express elevators transporting them
to the food department store. The guests are greeted by musicians while cocktails
are offered. Your guests are invited to walk through the entire food section to
enjoy a communicative evening while tasting specialities from all over the world
from different food booths and beverages from different cocktail bars. Jazz and
Dixieland music will be provided and a lot of artists like magicians jugglers, dancers,
pantomimes and many others will perform. 1000- 3000 guests.
UFA THEME PARTY "OLD BERLIN EVENING"
At UFA film studios in Babelsberg in the surr-oundings of Berlin we will
create a theme evening.
The decoration includes DEFA props (for example a giant rebuilt "Brandenburger Gate"
or the typical advertising columns "Litfaßsäule" with authentic advertisements from
the period). The walls and ceiling of the hall will be decorated with colourful
facades of houses, market squares of Berlin, a typical Berlin pub and Old-Berlin
living rooms - as three-dimensional decoration.
Everything even the smallest details fit into the theme: Catering, menu cards, decoration,
music and entertainment, lighting etc. 300-1500 guests.

DAY ONE
Arrival at airport. Meet & Greet at the airport and transfer to your
hotel. Check in.
City sightseeing tour of Hamburg.
Alternative: City Rally.
Guests will be introduced to the city in a special way. By using subways, buses
and ships they visit the city highlights of Hamburg themselves. Elected teams are
in competition to find the hidden "treasure".
DAY TWO
Breakfast at hotel. Morning at leisure and time for shopping in the elegant
city centre and the many galleries of Hamburg.
Afternoon excursion to Lubeck and city sightseeing tour of this medieval Hanseatic
City.
Evening "On board party".
Cruise through the illuminated port with music and entertainment. Lavish buffet
and unlimited draught beer are offered.
Alternative for the evening: Visit of the musical Lion King with dinner in the Skyline
restaurant.
DAY THREE
"Red-eye" trip to the "Hamburg Fish Market", the traditional Sunday morning
meeting place for Hamburg's young and old who have partied the night away. Located
at the harbour, this flea market offers everything from fresh tropical fruit to
grandmother's old pillow lace.
Enjoy the Jazz brunch at the maritime Fish Auction Hall.
Return to hotel.
Checkout and transfer to Hamburg airport.

HALF DAY TOURS
Hamburg city tour
Drive by deluxe coach and see the banks of the Alster lakes, the city centre,
the port of Hamburg, the impressive villas along the Elbe river. Visit St. Michaelis
church and enjoy a short organ recital with works by Johann Sebastian Bach. Continue
to the historic 16th century Krameramtsstuben and visit Hamburg's city hall and
its magnificent reception rooms.
Tour of the harbour
By bus to St. Pauli Landungsbrucken (landing stages). Boat trip through
one of Europe's largest harbours. The Hamburg harbour is a universal harbour and
offers an interesting insight into international goods transport - from traditional
coffee warehouses to modern container terminals.
Tour of the Alster Lake
Hamburg, the city you can tour by ship - on the inner and outer Alster.
You experience all the charm of the Alster with the lovely Alsterpark, the villas
and sailing boats set against the panorama background of towers and church spires.
DAY EXCURSIONS
Lubeck
Coach drive to the old Hanseatic town of Lubeck. Sightseeing tour of Lubecks
medieval town centre, St. Mary's church and the market square. Lunch in the historic
restaurant "Schiffergesellshaft". Visit to the cafe "Niederegger", where the world
famous marzipan specialities are offered. Return to Hamburg.
"Altes Land" on the lower Elbe
Coach trip to the "Altes Land", Europe's largest fruit-growing region.
Drive along the Elbe dyke, past old farmhouses of the 17th and 18th centuries to
York, Luhe and Stade. In Steinkirchen visit the old village with a beautiful organ
made by the famous organ builder "Arp Schnittger". Short organ recital. Lunch in
York at the historical restaurant "Altlander Hof" still part of a large fruit farm.
Return to Hamburg.
Luneburg Heath
Drive to Luneburg. Visit the city, a fine sample of traditional North German
brickwork. Lunch. Drive to Undeloh, a typical village on the edge of the Luneburg
Heath nature reserve , one of the most attractive recreation areas in northern Germany.
Walk to Wilsede, a village in the nature reserve area. Coffee break and ride in
a horse-drawn carriage back to Undeloh.
Theme Party Ideas for Incentives - Hamburg
HAMBURG EVENING AT ANCIENT MARKET HALL
The Ancient Market Hall built in 1884 and completely renovated in 1983.
It is a beautiful building in an "Art Nouveau" style and located directly by the
Elbe river. A theme party can be arranged:
Greeting by a Hamburg marching band and a special cocktail. Outside the building
are bistro tables and sunshades. The hall inside is decorated in maritime style
with fish-nets, surfing boards, seagulls and huge green plants. Market booths offer
different kinds of food, several bars with different drinks. There are two stages
for entertainment e.g. jazz bands, dance band and special highlights like a male
choir singing shanties dressed like sailors. Special activity booths and strolling
artists add to the entertainment. A highlight of the evening is a fireworks display
on the Elbe river. 500-1500 guests.
PARTY AT THE "HANSEVIERTEL"
A private party will be arranged at the largest and exclusive shopping
mall in Hamburg, the Hanseviertel. The stores remain open and will participate with
their own activities, e.g. fashion-show, a human doll displayed in the window. The
restaurants offer exclusive menus and beverages. Different areas have various shows
and entertainment. 500 - 1000 guests.
STORTEBEKER'S SEAFARERS BANQUET
Stortebeker was a pirate who was hanged in Hamburg after he caused a lot
of trouble to Hamburg's merchants. 4 hours cruise through the port of Hamburg with
entertainment and adventure dinner in a very casual fun atmosphere.
Guests are welcomed with a glass of "Met", an original German drink. Every guest
is individually introduced and greeted by a master of ceremonies. A historical German
5-course menu together with unlimited Hamburg beer, wine and non-alcoholic beverages
is served. The waiters and the entertainer are dressed as pirates. The guests receive
certain pirate rules according to which they should eat and behave.
The cruise takes the guests through the Hamburg port and continues on the Elbe River
passing the impressive mansions of wealthy Hamburg merchants. 100-300 guests.
