Company
For the conference, event and incentive organiser seeking a destination with a difference, within easy flying distance of the U.K., yet worlds apart in terms of culture and lifestyle, why not consider Marrakesh.
Unitours, created in 1981 by Paula Breton and awarded the title of "Best Travel Agency" by the Moroccan Ministry of Tourism, cover the whole country. However we believe that Marrakesh is the "Jewel in the Crown" of Morocco for the majority of Incentive & Conference Groups.
Unitours offer a complete Destination Management Service. They will work with you to plan an exciting and innovative programme, negotiate with suppliers on your behalf and then ensure an efficient and trouble free operation from the moment your clients arrive.
Destination
MARRAKESH - MOROCCO BOUND
Marrakesh, a very different venue, but one that combines all of the ingredients that go to make up a total incentive destination.
A wide choice of hotels to suit conference and incentive buyers requirements, including the world famous La Mamounia. (now closed for complete refurbishing until probably Spring 2008)
Superb conference facilities, if required, are available in the Palais Des Congrès by Hotel Mansour Eddahbi and the CCIP : "Centre de Conférence International de la Palmeraie " next to Palmeraie Golf Palace.
The old walled city with its souks and Djemaa El Fna Square offers a fascinating glimpse into the local life style.
Superb Moroccan and European cuisine, excellent recreational facilities including three 18 hole Golf Courses as well as the Kings personal course, a variety of evening entertainment with international nightclubs as well as the spectacular "Fantasia" where a Moroccan spectacular can be tailored to your clients requirements, or a choice of discotheques and casinos.
There are extensive sightseeing opportunities, many of which can be arranged as participation events, mountain rallies in four wheel drive vehicles, treasure hunts in the old city, camel riding and much, much, more.
Example Programme
DAY ONE
Assistance on arrival at Marrakesh airport. Transfer to the chosen hotel where welcome drinks are served before dinner.
DAY TWO
American buffet breakfast in the hotel. Then a guided tour of Marrakesh including the Koutoubia Mosque, the Saadian tombs and the Bahia Palace. The tour can also be undertaken as a treasure hunt with clues guiding participants to the various sights of interest - the best answers to other clues regarding what they have seen are rewarded by prizes.
Lunch will be served at the hotel, then the tour will re-commence in a horse drawn carriages to the Menara Gardens, the walls of Marrakesh, the Royal Palace, the Souks and Djemaa El Fna Square.
After dinner in the hotel, a gambling and/or Dancing evening at Il Teatro.
DAY THREE
American buffet breakfast at the hotel. After breakfast depart for Asni & Ouirgane. Located at the foot of Djebel Toubkal, the highest peak of North Africa, the Berber village of Asni can be reached after crossing Tahnaout - a small village clinging to the mountain and hardly distinguishable from it and the steep gorges of the Gheghaia river. The weekly Tuesday and Saturday country markets are the meeting point of all the small farmers around. It is a very typical scene and an interesting place to browse around. This excursion will finish with highlight of a lunch at the "La Roseraie, a lovely restaurant set amidst a beautiful rose garden. Duration: Approximately 7 hrs.
Dinner this evening will be utterly and authentically Moroccan, in a Kasbah near the Palmgove with Mechoui, Royal Couscous, a vibrant folklore show and Fantasia, a traditional horse race. For large groups possibility to set up an exclusive private Bedouin camp complete with waterpipe tent !!
