Destination
Norway - a country for all seasons!
Although founded more than 1000 years ago and with only a little more than 500,000 inhabitants the capital Oslo is definitely a "little European capital." Regardless of its size it has all the advantages of the large international metropolis and unique to Oslo is the outdoor life which is literally on our doorsteps. Surrounded by magnificent scenery, with the fjord lapping at the shores and bordered by forest-covered hills, snow-clad in the winter and cool and green in the summer allowing numerous possibilities for outdoor activities year round.
Bergen - the gateway to the fjords is a city of dramatic contrasts from the busy modern port to the 14th century warehouses built by Hanseatic merchants and now protected by UNESCO. Stavanger - Norway's Oil Capital - contrary to the image this might bring up, it is a picturesque town with a lively harbour area and a charming old town.
Lillehammer - with its close proximity to the airport a perfect winter weekend venue. Home of the 1994 XVII Winter Olympics it has made a point of preserving its small town character. Hemsedal - the skiers winter venue.
Above the Arctic Circle on the Lofoten Islands for deep sea fishing, rafting and whale watching or in Tromsø - the Arctic Capital with exciting activities summer as winter.
Norwegian Lapland - an eldorado for outdoor activities. Alta is home to the stunning Northern Lights Igloo and a good base for your introduction to Sami (Lappish) activities and culture. The North Cape - the northernmost point of Europe for an exclusive winter venue.
Svalbard/Spitsbergen - the ultimate experience. Winter on the island is spectacular, the light and the dimensions make it a true wilderness experience - half way to the North Pole and it doesn't get much more exotic than this.
