ST. LUCIA - JEWEL OF THE CARIBBEAN
A Caribbean island offering a complete blend of natural, geographical, historical and climatic features designed to make your visit an enjoyable and memorable one.
The island's white sandy beaches, mountainous terrain, spectacular scenery, majestic Pitons and bubbling Sulphur Springs/Drive-in Volcano, the friendly faces and warm hospitality of the people, coupled with the blend of French, English and European history, all combine to give the island its vibrancy and vitality.
Historically, St.Lucia is probably the Caribbean island with the most turbulent, colourful and datable history. It endured a bloody "Tug of War" between the French and British, in which St. Lucia changed hands fourteen times before finally ceded to Britain by the Treaty of Paris in 1814. The island is nicknamed 'The Helen of the West' - an analogy to Helen of Troy, thereby encapsulating the beauty and charm of the island.
Service may seem slower than the hustle & bustle you left behind at home, but why would anyone want a warm island experienced to be rushed?
The warm smiles of the Barefoot Holidays team will welcome participants and escort them to the waiting coaches. A refreshing cold towel and chilled bottle of water will be presented to them before departing the airport.

Black with a Kiss of Sunset
A night of vivid color, dance, décor and vibrant colors: Fuchia, bright oranges, and sunset colored materials are the predominant theme. The warm and convivial atmosphere encourages participants to relax and unwind and ease into an evening of total fun and relaxation.
Varied hues of orange, yellow and black dominate the area. Brilliantly hued tropical coloured flowers are the focal table centre pieces while black chair covers with orange chair bows complete the décor.
Step into the Sahara Oasis…White and Beige coloured linen panels, dramatic colourful florals, bamboo installations and the king's treasure chest greets you as you are welcomed into this oasis.
Bamboo installations tower overhead, overhung with vines. The amber eyes of the Sahara creatures glisten through the foliage. Orchids and tropical coloured heliconia, moving lights and uplights all contribute to the theme. The tables are covered with black table cloths with leopard print overlays and matching chair covers. The table centerpieces are beautifully designed with brush strokes to create the glistening eyes of an animal.
What is life in the Caribbean without a carnival?
A kaleidoscope of iridescent coloured uplights sets the warm but vibrant glow of the room. The table centerpiece's rise above the table, resplendent in vivacious colour. Light entertainment sets the evening off while" Carnival" begins after the main course has been served. Costumed figures emerge at intervals to display their costumes which seem to come alive as the musical tempo increases. Costumed figures encourage the participants to join the fun and party.
This is an elegant and splendour filled evening where the grounds of the hotel are beautifully tented and decked giving the area a warm glow to create a dazzling evening. Intricately designed displays, chair covers and table linens dot the area, while tropical flower centerpieces all come together in brilliant fusion.
