Singapore for MICE: Hotels, Venues & Incentive Ideas with EXO Travel

Singapore has long been one of Asia’s leading destinations for meetings, incentives and corporate events, but there is nothing quite like experiencing a destination first-hand.

In April 2026, we joined EXO Travel Singapore for a three-day UK MICE Business Development visit, exploring hotels, event venues, restaurants, cultural experiences and some of the many possibilities Singapore offers for international groups. The programme combined destination experiences with hotel and venue inspections, giving us a real feel for how Singapore can work for everything from incentive programmes to conferences and gala dinners.

First impressions: Singapore beyond the boardroom

After arriving at Changi Airport, we stayed at the Pan Pacific Orchard, where we began with a hotel inspection and lunch at Mosella Restaurant.

From there, we headed out to explore Singapore’s different neighbourhoods, including Little India, Kampong Gelam and Chinatown.

For event planners, this is where Singapore becomes particularly interesting. A corporate programme does not need to revolve solely around hotels and meeting rooms. The city’s diverse cultures, food, architecture, and neighbourhoods can easily be incorporated into incentive programmes, team activities, and delegate experiences.

Our first evening took us high above the city to High House at 1 Raffles Place, on Level 62, with NOVA rooftop bar above it — a great example of the type of contemporary venue Singapore can offer for evening events.

Gardens, hotels and MICE possibilities

Day two started with one of Singapore’s most recognisable attractions, Gardens by the Bay, including the Flower Dome, the Cloud Forest, and the OCBC Skyway.

It is easy to see why experiences like this work so well within an incentive itinerary. Singapore manages to combine a highly developed city with striking green spaces and attractions that feel very different from those of a traditional city break.

We then explored several hotel options, including PARKROYAL on Beach Road and Pan Pacific Singapore, focusing on their suitability for meetings and MICE groups.

The afternoon also gave us the chance to hear more from other EXO Travel offices about MICE opportunities across Japan, Thailand and Indonesia, and to highlight other exciting opportunities Singapore can offer.

Unique venues for gala dinners and corporate events

One of the most useful parts of any Business Development trip is seeing spaces that you might never discover simply by searching online.

Our final morning focused on alternative venues suitable for memorable gala dinners and special events.

We visited the Jubilee Ballroom at Raffles Hotel Singapore, followed by the Capitol Theatre, before continuing to The Clifford Pier and Monti.

Each offered something completely different — exactly why having a knowledgeable local DMC is so valuable when trying to match a venue to the personality, size and objectives of an event.

Our programme ended with a visit to Artyzen Singapore, a boutique hotel in the Orchard Road area, followed by lunch, before we moved on to the next part of our stay in Singapore.

Why Singapore works for MICE

What really stood out during our time in Singapore was the variety within a relatively compact destination.

World-class hotels and meeting facilities sit alongside cultural neighbourhoods, rooftop venues, historic buildings, waterfront locations and some of Asia’s most recognisable visitor attractions.

For planners, that means it is possible to build a programme that combines business, culture, food and memorable experiences without spending hours shuttling delegates between locations.

And, as always, local knowledge matters.

Working with a DMC such as EXO Travel gives planners access not only to venues and suppliers but also to people on the ground who understand the destination, logistics, group movements, and how to turn individual elements into a single seamless programme.
